Refund Policy for Workshops and Summer Coaching
All cancellations must be made in writing 30 days prior to the workshop or the first coaching session. With this notice, cancellations will be refundable minus a $45 service fee. Cancellations in writing within 21-30 days will be refunded half the paid fee. There will be no refunds less than 21 days prior to the workshop or coaching session.
SOS4Students ("SOS") reserves the right to cancel workshops and other events due to insufficient enrollment or a complication beyond our control. (A full refund will be given automatically).
SOS also reserves the right to change dates and times published, or to consolidate classes. Full refunds are available on request in these circumstances.
Switching workshops: If you wish for your student to participate in a different workshop date, SOS must be notified in writing at least 14 days prior to the date your student was originally enrolled or the date of the desired workshop date. SOS will make efforts to accommodate the switch based on enrollment numbers in the workshop. Any requests less than 14 days in advance cannot be accommodated (see “Refund Policy” above for refunds).
Student participation: This is an interactive workshop, SOS instructors encourage participation and engagement from all students enrolled. In the event that your student declines to participate, SOS will try reasonable efforts to encourage participation, as long as it is not distracting or taking away from other students in the workshop.
Student behavior: If a student becomes disruptive or a danger to instructors or other students in the workshop, parents or emergency contacts will be notified to pick up the student immediately (for in-person workshops) or will be sent to the virtual waiting room (for online workshops).
Workshop Schedule: If a student can NOT attend a day(s) of a scheduled workshop and SOS was not notified in advance (see refund policy), students will not be able to make-up days for in-person workshops nor will recordings of workshops be available.
All classes are closed to parents and friends to ensure students are fully present and not distracted.
Any student who is disruptive to the workshop or discourteous to teachers or other students will have one brief private discussion with an instructor and a warning. Continuous disruptive behavior will lead to the SOS director being called who will in turn contact the parents to come and pick up the student to take them home. Student will not be permitted back in the workshop at that point and no refund will accompany any disciplinary action.
